Creative Fibre
We love working with natural fibres, meeting regularly to create, share skills, and enjoy our craft together in a relaxed and social setting.
How we work

Thursday 10:00am — 12.30pm
Classes run from the first Thursday in February through to early December, with a break over the summer holidays.

Keirunga Society Membership:
— $69 per year+
Keirunga Creative Fibre Group Membership:
— $130 per year -
— Looms, spinning wheels, and related equipment are available for members to use
— Access to an excellent craft library
— Guidance on helpful YouTube resources for learning and inspiration
— Advice is available for those wishing to purchase their own spinning wheels or looms
— Members usually bring their own projects, but equipment and materials can often be supplied if needed. -
We offer 2–3 one-day workshops each year.
Members also share skills and teach during our regular weekly meetings as needed.
Members are happy to share skills with newcomers, including:
— Fibre preparation (fleece & carded wool)
— Spinning & dyeing
— Knitting & crochet
— Weaving & bobbin laceWe work with wool, alpaca, silk, cotton, linen, and other fibres.
