About the space
Built in 1907, the Keirunga Homestead is a beautifully restored heritage venue that blends timeless elegance with modern functionality. Carefully returned to its original era, the homestead features exquisite William Morris wallpaper, high ceilings, and classic architectural details that create a warm, welcoming, and character-filled atmosphere.
There is something truly special about the Keirunga Homestead. From the moment you step inside, the space feels magical, held, and deeply welcoming. With its beautiful wooden floors, soft natural light, and intimate layout, the homestead offers a cozy and comfortable environment where people naturally relax, connect, and feel at ease.
This versatile venue is ideal for a wide range of events, including weddings, birthday celebrations, creative workshops, craft groups, business meetings, retreats, exhibitions, and community gatherings. The space can be styled to suit both formal occasions and relaxed, creative experiences.
The homestead can accommodate up to 111 people, with 66 people seated comfortably in the main room. Tables and chairs are available for use, along with tablecloths, and a full selection of cups, glassware, and crockery, making event setup simple and seamless. The venue includes a fully functional kitchen, three toilets, and a separate study, offering additional flexibility for facilitators, speakers, or organisers.
For meetings, presentations, and ceremonies, the homestead is equipped with IT and audio-visual facilities, including a microphone, lapel microphones, a speaker system, and a large TV that can be used as a projector and connected to your laptop. This makes the space well suited for business meetings, workshops, talks, and wedding speeches.
Wheelchair access is available throughout the building, and a charming balcony opens out over the surrounding gardens, providing a beautiful setting for guests to gather, take photos, or enjoy a quiet moment outdoors.
Surrounded by established gardens and rich in history, the Keirunga Homestead offers a truly special setting where events feel warm, meaningful, and memorable.
